The First Silesian War between Prussia and Austria ended (1740–1742), and the inhabitants of Folwark now found themselves under the rule of the King of Prussia. Before that they had been Austrians. Frederick II introduced a new order, and every village received its own seal. Our village did too. From then on the village heads had to stamp all their documents.
The seal of the settlement Folwark from the year 1742:
A roof on four supports (a field barn – Feldscheune), on the right side a horizontal shaft with a rake attached, running from the middle of the supports to the left.
The inscription around the edge of the seal: “FOLWARK GEM. SIGL”, and at the bottom “IN OPPELN CREYS” (in the district of Opole).
