Ten centuries of history, inseparably linked with the history of Opole Silesia. Nobody recorded the events in our settlement. To reconstruct its history we have to rely on legends and oral tradition that have survived to this day. But people pass away so quickly, and young grandmothers no longer tell their grandchildren fairy tales at bedtime, as they used to.

To save the remnants from oblivion, we decided to use this new form of information, the internet, to present our history, our ordinary yet extraordinary residents, and those who have visited or are with us. Where possible we will update old information and add new information that is unknown to us today.

Since many people connected with our village by birth or descent never learned Polish or have forgotten it, we decided to present our history in three languages: Polish, German and English.
