A flat area in the southern part of Przewrócie. On the north side it is now bounded by ul. Stawowa, on the east by the buildings of the Kochanek and Kasperek families, and on the south and west by the canalised Krzipop Moderz. In the northern part a pumping station for municipal sewage was built in 2000–2002.
The name Grundzik is probably connected with its size: “mołs mały konsek gruntu” (you have a small piece of land), “mołs mało gruntu” (you have little land), “mołs grundzik” (you have a small piece of land). The Grundzik was probably created during the regulation of the Krzipop Modrzewa (the flat, marshy area was drained; the soil here is very fertile, as the waters left a lot of silt during the many floods). From 1960 to 1980 Stanisław Kornek had an orchard on the Grundzik which, as I remember, gave very large yields.
